Student Registrations

A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate.

International Student Travel Grants

As a special feature of ISSM 2017, student oral and poster presenters from universities around the world have the opportunity to apply for travel grants of $750.00NZD per student to attend the conference. Travel grant funding is limited, and will be awarded based on the quality of the abstract submitted and estimated needs of the student presenter. Funding for the Student Travel Grant Program is provided by the conference sponsors.

Eligibility Criteria
• At the time of abstract submission, student must be currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program (post-doctoral fellows and non-students are not eligible).
• Student must have submitted an oral or poster abstract for presentation at ISSM 2017.

Application Requirements
• Complete Student Travel Grant Application Form
• Abstract for oral or poster presentation submitted (grants will be confirmed on acceptance of abstract, but an application can be submitted before acceptance is confirmed)
• A short Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume
• A support letter from your academic advisor, which also confirms your current enrolment as a full-time student at your university (one page maximum)

NZ & Australian Student Travel Grants

NZHS is kindly offering a grant-in-aid of Travel. This is open to NZ or Australian students who are intending present research at the ISSM 2017 conference. 

Students may apply to NZHS for a grant to contribute to their attendance costs under the conditions listed below.

The student must be:
• enrolled in a New Zealand or Australian tertiary institution;
• the principal investigator involved in the research;
• the major author and presenter of the paper;
• a current “paid-up” member of the New Zealand Hydrological Society;
• nominated by the recipients primary supervisor (nomination/application template attached).

Payment Options

Payment MUST be received by 6 October 2017 to be eligible for the Early Bird Rates. 
Any unpaid registrations as of 7 October will automatically convert to the full registration rate.
All registration fees must be made in full 10 days prior to the start of the conference, any unpaid registrations will automatically be cancelled.

Confirmations

All registrations will be acknowledged by email, please include the email address you would like your confirmation sent to. If you do not receive an acknowledgement please contact the team at on-cue.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Manager, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Cancellation before 2 October 2017 will incur an $100.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellation on or after 2 October 2017 will be at the discretion of the organising committee.
All refunds will be processed after the conference. Substitute delegates are welcome without penalty, but please advise On-Cue of any name change, for administration purposes. There will be no refunds for any booked delegate who does not attend on the day.

Entrance to the Conference

Each delegate will receive a name badge on registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to all included social functions. The Conference Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserve the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

In the event of industrial disruption, or other unforeseen circumstances that disrupt the conference, the conference organisers accept no responsibility. The information on the conference website and in the printed collateral is correct at the time of publication. However, the conference organisers reserve the right to change information. The conference organisers disclaim any and all liability to any person in respect of the consequences of any failure to operate, accident or injury which may occur on services reserved.
The right is reserved to add, withdraw or substitute speakers and vary the advertised programme.
If the conference is cancelled for any reason beyond the organiser's control, there is no right of exchange and no obligation is assumed by the organisers for arranging a substitute speaker. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the conference, the liability of the organisers is limited to the return of paid fees and where an event may be postponed and the option of re-attending is not suitable, a cancellation can be made by writing to the conference organiser and on acceptance, there would be a return of paid fees less $100 for administration costs.

Insurance

Delegates are encouraged to take out personal travel and medical insurance which includes loss or damage of personal possessions, including loss of registration and accommodation fees through cancellation.

Privacy

Unless you indicate otherwise on the registration form, the organisers will include your name on the list of conference participants distributed to delegates and sponsors.
